Notice 056/2011 - All ALAEA Members - Team ALAEA 2012 AMT MSC

Notices - Notices 2011

One of the more pleasant duties that are bestowed upon me is the selection and subsequent announcement of “TEAM ALAEA” for the “LAME Olympics” or as it is officially known the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Maintenance Skills Competition (AMT MSC) in Las Vegas, USA.

This competition which puts the skills of licenced and unlicenced engineers to the test against the clock and each other is gaining recognition as the premier proving ground for aircraft engineers worldwide.

In 2012 thirty teams will compete in fifteen events over three days to decide who has the greatest bragging rights and as we all remember in 2011 in only our second year of competing TEAM ALAEA came second in the commercial division and subsequently second overall.

A truly dedicated effort which showcased the skills and dedication to the craft of Australian aircraft engineers to all and 2012 will be no different of that I am truly confident.

For the AMT MSC 2012 I have much pleasure in announcing that TEAM ALAEA will be represented by Tim Scoble, Sam Nesci, Evan Winstanley, Jon Marsh and Ron Grieves.

I congratulate all the selected nominees and wish them the very best of it in Las Vegas 2012.  Wave the ALAEA colours proudly and have a great time.

I wish to also thank all who were nominated to take part and remind them that 2013 is not to far away so make sure you re-apply.

Stay Safe
