Home The News Drug and Alcohol Testing Survey

Dear Members, Below is request we received from CASA regarding Drug and Alcohol Testing in Aviation. We believe that it is important to participate in feedback activities such as these to ensure that if any problems or issues exist, or the regime is ineffective that CASA are fully aware of the problems.

Dear Aviation Participant

CASA’s Drug and Alcohol regulations – 12 months on

Help us to make a safe industry even safer … by participating in CASA and Monash University research on the implementation of CASA’s drug and alcohol regulations (CASR Part 99 – management plans and testing).

Any of your members who perform safety-sensitive aviation activities as part of their work or recreation can help us to evaluate the program and have their say, by completing a short online survey, giving us their opinions and experiences.

  • The survey will take only 10 to 20 minutes of  their  time to complete.
  • All information will be held in the strictest confidence, and will be used for research purposes only.
  • A report, which will not attribute individual comments, will summarise the results.
  • To complete the survey, please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/AODsurvey
  • If your members cannot  access the survey online, and would like to complete a paper version instead, please contact Eve Mitsopoulos-Rubens at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) on 03 9905 1900, or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please be advised, we also intend to send this communication to individual license holders therefore some unavoidable duplication may occur.

Yours sincerely,

Brenda Cattle
